Earthquake and Tsunami Public Forum

 

Tim Walsh, Chief Geologist for Washington State Department of Natural Resources, and John Schelling, Program Manager for Washington State Emergency Management Division's Earthquake/Tsunami/Volcano Program will deliver presentations and lead discussion on our local earthquake and tsunami risks and warning system.

 

Tuesday, April 27, 2010, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., community center.

 

Coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be provided.

 PREP has been in the process of talking to the people of Point Roberts regarding what they know about PREP. As a result of these discussions, we thought it would be appropriate to explain further as to what PREP is about and how we can help you.

MINUTES FROM  P.R.E.P.  MEETING ON APR. 7, 2009

 

The meeting opened with a visiting speaker: Kris Lomedico, Branch Manager of the Point Roberts Library talking about an upcoming meeting regarding the need for financial help to keep up our  library services. Kris requested help from PREP to encourage people to attend the meeting on May 7th, 2009.

Mark Robbins called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. He noted that there was no agenda prepared.

September Tip: Be a community team player.  Learn--Practice--Learn. Have an exit plan for emergencies.(Fire, Earthquakes, Tsunamis)  EDITH can save your life.  So can a Ham.   Call Jud @ 945-0533 for more information.
